illamasqua rich liquid foundation in RF 115

A few months ago I blogged about the illamasqua rich liquid foundation in RF 120, you can see the post here, since then i have come to use it a litte more spuringly and love it even more now! however that shadewas just to dark and I finally have in and bought RF 115. I'm so glad to say THE SEARCH IS OVER!
I'm very pale, and I have never found a foundation that matches me perfectly, until now! Not even the MAC NC15! As you can imagine I'm rather thrilled! So i thought I'd show the diffrence between the RF 120 and the RF 115, as when i was doing a little research there wasen't that many! So here goes :)

I am very sorry for the bad lighting :( It had gone dark so this is artificial lighting but I tried to get the shades to show as true to colour as possible :)

There you go, all done! I'm thoroughly enjoying this foundation!

What's your perfect match foundation?

Benefits porefessional.

So I'll start by saying I did not buy this from benefits site, but from eBay. It is the old packaging and the eBay seller said the factory didn't want it. (lid is incorrectly made and won't screw on.) Anyway on with the review. I have been using it for around a month and a half so I thought I would let you know how I feel about it :)

I have heard both good and bad about this product, unfortunately I did not like the product, at all. I found that it's too dark..Even though it's suppose to adjust to your skin colour, it didn't with my very pale skin. I also found that it didn't do anything for my pores, which was the biggest disappointment.Yes it did make my skin soft, but it didn't minimize my pores or make my makeup stay on longer..so overall I have to say it was a disappointment.
I have tried using it over my foundation too, as I read that it can be good over foundation if it doesn't work under, but I found it just made my face to dark and didn't really do anything. One thing I did like about the product was the texture and the smell of it, and it evens out skin very well and doesn't leave a nasty smell behind..but other than that  I think it's an unnecessary product for me, and I wouldn't repurchase it again.

After trying this primer it has made me realize how good my smashbox photoready SPF 15 primer really is!

Have you tried the benefit porefessional?

Real Techniques.

So it's taken me quite a while to get on the 'Real Techniques' hype, but I purchased my first brush..the expert face brush, and I have to say I'm blown over!
Designed by on of the pixiwoo sisters, pro makeup artists and youtube phenomenons, Samantha Chapman helped create brushes to give a flawless finish look!

I find this brush blends the foundation so quick and easily, even my more difficult to work with foundations such as the Rich Liquid FoundationThe design of the brush handle makes it easy to hold and it also stands up which is convenient. I bought this brush for £11 from an ebay seller but they are also in sale in boots and in lots of online shops :) One of the things I love about these brushes is they are so affordable!

I have my eyes on the 'Starter Set' as the brushes look amazing for eyeshadow/brows and concealer! :) I have a feeling the Real Techniques brushes are going to be my go-to brushes! :D

Have you tried the Real Techniques brushes?

Botany Bay!

So for anybody that doesn't know, Botany Bay is an amazing shopping centre-ish place in Chorley :) It has five huge floors filled with amazing things, all a range of prices!

A random google photo!
The bottom floor is my FAVOURITE I lovelovelove it! It's all old fashioned layout and shops full of vintage things from war memorabilia to vinyl's to sweet shops and clothes and so much more! :) Then the other 4 floors are things like furniture and then there's also a bit of vintage chucked everywhere too :)
Sorry I don't have any pictures to show you how awesome it is! :(

So this is what I bought..

And the sunglasses were £2! :) bargain right?!

Have you had any jewellery steals lately? :~)

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation review.

Hi guys,
What would you say to a foundation that makes skin look flawless and gives amazing coverage-no concealer needed? Tell me more I'm guessing?
I have been using this foundation everyday since I bought it to give it a fair trial.
I have to say that after reading a few reviews on it I was a little worried and didn't know what to expect.
I found that the foundation is difficult to work with-but not impossible! as long as it's applied with a dense brush and blended in well it's a doesn't look cakey and covers up all the bits that need it!

This is a photo of me before and after (bare in mind it is too dark for my skin, and looks a little weird because I have no other makeup on!)

One thing I was worried about was my dry skin, as I thought because it was so thick it would stick to my skin and make it flaky, but I was pleasantly surprised. However, I did find that it sunk into my more larger pores and also made facial hair stand out, but I just brushed the foundation in the direction of the hairs when it was all blended in and that seemed to do the trick! :)
It is most defiantly a MUST to apply a primer with this foundation and let it settle otherwise it would just slide off, especially in hot weather! I would also suggest for those with oily skin to apply a powder afterwards.
Overall I would repurchase this foundation but in 115 instead of 120, I find it works with my skin and will last a long time as you only need a pea sized amount to cover the whole face..any more and it would look cakey, but that's the same with a lot of foundations :) I also found that I didn't need to use concealer with this foundation as it is the highest coverage foundation I have ever tried!
I hope this review helped!

I don't think I've ever loved a clothes line so much, al the jumpers, flannel denim and short skirts/shorts. It's my fashion sense in one range :)
Here are my favourite things from the line..

FOTD - Tea Rose Lips

This look is pretty much my everyday look, winged eye liner with a little of a smoky effect and a nude-ISH lip :)
This is what I used..

I'm loving playing around with the Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation! :)

I love my rack!

About a month or two ago I was on the look out for somewhere to put my clothes, I have a drawer but i find in there my clothes get wrinkled too much! So I trotted off to Argos and found this black and silver rack for under £10! awesome right? :D
It was really easy to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow :) I just think it gives my cramped bedroom a little bit more of a 'me' touch, if that makes sense? anyway it can fit lots of clothes on it(i'd recently had a clear out) and the bottom two bars are very handy for shoes! :)

An easy affordable way to keep your clothes neat and tidy without a wardrobe!

Sleek Makeup Ultra Matte Palette V2 Dark.

Ok, so I have been a fan of sleek makeup for a year or so now! Impressed by there pigmented eye shadows, lipsticks and blushes! so of course when I hear about a all matte eye-shadow palette being realest I couldn't wait to get my hands on one! (matte eye shadows being my favourite and hard to come buy in drugstore brands!)
The palette was available in two shades, V1-Brights and V2-Darks. Me being me, I got the dark palette as I don't really wear bright eye shadows!

These are the colours, I absolutely love them!

Close ups of all the colours :)

Swatches in sunlight..

I have been using this palette ever since it came out! As you can see here a few of them don't look very pigmented which was a little disappointing as my au natural palette was really pigmented. however, they do look a lot better on the eyes, and more pigmented on the eyes.
Good:
  • easy to blend
  • most of them are well pigmented
  • awesome range of colours
  • the palette is sturdy and travel friendly
Bad:
  • they are a little chalky
  • a couple of the shades aren't as pigmented as I'd like (last two on the top row)
I defiantly don't regret buying this palette, and sleek is still one of my favourite makeup lines :) I'd recommend this palette to someone who wants to experiment with different colours but doesn't want to break the bank, at £7.99 it's a bargain! :)

illamasqua madness!

I can imagine make-up lovers everywhere will have been thrilled to learn of illamasquas latest sale (now ended) 60% off! items from £5-15! I couldn't resist but to purchase something as I have never owned illamasqua makeup before.

Originally I had planned just to get the Rich Liquid Foundation but when it came to ordering I knew I wanted something else, I would of liked to get a red lipstick but all of the ones for sale looked to be too pink or orange toned for me, as I was looking for one to replace my MAC ''Chilli'. So in the end I decided to get the ''Cream Foundation'' too, because after all a girl can never have too many foundations, right? :p

The packaging was awesome, it came in a black cardboard box with the invoice on the top and black tissue paper on top of the products with shredded tissue paper in the box. I just loved all the black, I think it made it look professional!

Me, Myself and Elf.

I discovered elf about a two years ago whilst watching Little Kivas youtube channel, it absolutely baffled me when she said she was using a successful foundation brush that did its job and only cost £1.50, naturally I had to see what eyeslipsface.co.uk was all about. The first thing I remember thinking was how much stuff they had, the normal range, studio range and mineral range, the next think was the price of everything, it was cheap as chips!

My first order consisted of;

  • liquid eyeliner,
  • concealer brush
  • the all over cover stick.

My second order consisted off;

  • the coral lip matte colour(studio),
  • cream eyeliner(studio)
  • flawless finish foundation(studio),
  • powder brush(studio),
  • lip primer and plumper(studio)
  • cream eye shadow in candlelight.
(I may have forgotten some as it was about a year and a half ago!)

As with every makeup range there are some hits and some misses, but overall I was impressed with the quality of the products for such cheap prizes! Hence why when I heard elf were having a 50% of sale I couldn't resist purchasing again!

From the sale I got;

  • false lashes dramatic kit(normal range)
  • defining eye brush
  • lipstick in cheerful cherry(mineral)
  • duo eyeshadow cream in cookies and cream(normal range)
  • duo eyeshadow cream in black licorice(normal range)
  • shimmer eyeliner pencil in iconic ivory(normal range)
  • studio matte lip colour in tea rose(studio)
  • studio matte lip colour in praline(studio)
  • blush in gotta glow(studio)
  • stipple brush(studio)
  • makeup lock and seal(studio)
Here's a photo of the stuff I bought..

The products I was most exited about getting are the stippling brush and the two matte lip colours :)

Left-Tea Rose
Right-Praline

The thing that intrigues me about Tea Rose is the name, as it reminds me of ''English Rose'' and i thought it would be a very British colour, I'm not sure if that makes sense in anybody's head but mine ^-^. The colour is a blue under toned pink, looks lovely on pale skin!
The Praline colour looks red on the box but in fact is a much more browny orangey colour, the best way I can describe it is to say it looks like the colour of a brick!

There will be some reviews heading your way soon! :D

A post to get started

Okay, so I guess it would be a good idea to give a little information about me. At the moment I am looking for employment after a finishing a two year course in Art & Design with a DMM.

I started this blog as I have had a love for all things beauty for as long as I can remember, I get a lot of my inspiration from different bloggers and some beauty gurus. I will always put my honest opinion on this blog in my journey to finding products I love and trying to get the flawless finish look!
Depending on my life I may also take part in popular posts like OOTDs and FOTDs, I also have a few ideas up my sleeve. Another thing that is likely to show up here is people who inspire me, whether that be with fashion/style, beauty or lifestyle.
If you'd like to know more feel free to look at my About Me page :)
